Home Away From Dome for Syracuse Orange Fans

The Georgetown-Binghamton connection

Posted by Tim on April 2, 2007

While you’re mourning the Big East’s elimination from the Final Four, check out this very interesting article by SU alum Pete Thamel in last Friday’s New York Times. It turns out Georgetown assistant coach Kevin Broadus is taking some heat for recruiting players who didn’t even come close to meeting the university’s academic standards. The piece focuses on Marc Egerson, who came to the Hoyas via an allegedly questionable prep school and later transferred to the University of Delaware, apparently amidst some suspicion that he flunked out of Georgetown.

Anyway, Kevin Broadus is the new men’s basketball head coach at Binghamton University, my alma mater.

Final Four, here we come!

  1. I grew up and hour from Binghamton in Elmira, but I basically didn’t even know Binghamton had a team until they got railed by Syracuse in the Dome after I arrived on campus as a freshmen. Maybe SUNY will get some props now that it seems they have a ligit head coach.

Now that Binghamton has figured out softball, it’s time to pay some attention to softball:

Why have we played twice as many games as The Bing?
