Home Away From Dome for Syracuse Orange Fans

The year of the Dragon

So, let’s talk Mookster. The good: 14 points, 13 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 4-4 from the FT line (and that doesn’t do justice to easy he made them look, did someone tinker with his form? Or perhaps Jimmy had him hypnotized?). The bad: 5 fouls… though to be fair, with Roberts out he had to be out on the floor. The freakin’ ugly: Frank Elegar scoring approximately 46 kazillion points.

As always, the Mookster continues to baffle me.

I think last night’s episode of “Matt Gorman Time” has been adequately critiqued elsewhere, but I’d like to point out what the team was really missing in that second half: Arinze Onuaku. I’ve forgotten who it was who said that his injury would haunt the team at some point, but last night showed just how thin that front line is. This could be real trouble come Big East time when foul problems are more likely for Watkins and Roberts.

Also, if it’s not too much to ask, could someone please remind Devondorf how to play basketball? I’d appreciate it…
