SU 83, St. Francis 51

It’s always good to start the season with a strong showing. And it’s always gratifying to see the new kids contributing in the effort.
We got to see a little of both last night as the Orange crushed St. Francis, 83 to 51. We were obviously too much for the Terriers to handle. And Paul Harris started his Syracuse career with a double-double. Not exactly Carmelo’s 27-point Division I debut against Memphis in 2002. But I think we’ll take it anyway. Right?
Incidentally, a little background on St. Francis (NY): I saw a home game there last year — they were hosting my alma mater. Their gym is a little bit smaller than our high school’s. Thank god SU blew them away, because anything less would have been seriously worrisome.
